The last leg of our falls-hopping adventure concluded in the humble waters of Kinaraha Falls, which is, by far, the friendliest waterfall we’ve ever been!
There are two Kinaraha Falls in the island paradise of Biliran– one is in Almeria, and the other is in Barangay Villa Vicenta, Caibiran, Biliran.
We are featuring the cascades in Caibiran in this article.
Of all the waterfalls I’ve been to, this one brought me the most enjoyment!
Though it’s not as towering as Ulan-ulan Falls, Bagongbong Falls, and Tinago Falls, the water here is clean and clear, albeit with a slightly acrid taste.
But I had so much fun with the fantastic water slide and sandy basins.
Juicy Bits
- Kinaraha Falls is located Barangay Villa Vicenta, Caibiran, Biliran.
- Accessible via concrete roads.
- The force of the water is not as strong.
- There is no entrance fee.
- There are nearby attractions like Tinago Falls and Mainit Hot Spring.

What to Expect in Kinaraha Falls
Kinaraha Falls is a cascading-type waterfall with two basins serving as swimming pools with a slide connecting them.
The water is clear, and you can bathe on the cascades since the rapids are less powerful. Of all the falls we traveled to, the waters here are the least coldest!
It is also the only waterfall basin that is shallow and has a sandy bottom like that of the shore.
Surrounded by smooth rocks, you can climb up to the next cascades very easily.
While diving, I accidentally tasted the water; its flavor is like the juice of a young coconut. I’m unsure if it’s safe for consumption, so I didn’t dare swallow it.
Down below the cascades is a river with small to medium-sized rocks that leads to Mainit Hot Spring

How to get to Kinaraha Falls?
Kinaraha Falls is located in Villa Vicenta, Caibiran, Biliran. It’s about 23.6 km from Naval Town and 6.7 km if you’re from Caibiran proper.
It is only a 5-8 minute ride from Mainit Hot Spring and is currently not pinned in Google Maps. But we’re adding it as of this writing, so it should appear in a few days.
The road to the falls is concrete, but be careful because some parts are slippery, making driving difficult.
I think this is because of the share the trees provide and fewer visitors frequenting the place, enabling the moss to accumulate on the road.
You will also get the feeling that you’re heading deep into the forest because you are! Hidden gems
Once you reach the end of the concrete road, you can see the waters, river, and rock formations.
Walking for about 15 meters should reach you to the cascades.
From outside the Province
If you are traveling outside Biliran, you’ll need to find the best route to reach Biliran Island.
Once you arrive in the province, a simple activation of Google Maps will help you reach Kinaraha Falls.
